Congratulations Neptunes! Congratulations Neptunes! Winner of Best Children's float and The Sweepstakes Award for Asotin County. About the Lewis-Clark Neptunes The Lewis-Clark Neptunes is a Year-Round swim program for youth ages 4 to 19. We are part of USA Swimming which is a nation-wide age-group swimming program, and the organization responsible for selecting and training all USA Olympic Swimmers. Unlike most coaches in other sports that work with your children, USA Swimming coaches are paid professionals. USA Swimming requires that all coaches hold current certifications in First Aid, CPR, and Lifeguard training or Coaches Safety Training, and also requires that coaches successfully complete an extensive "Foundations of Coaching" examination. The team is administered by a parent board of directors, volunteering their time to organize the fund-raising, plan for our annual swim meet, seek publicity for our events, our membership drive in the spring, organize awards for our annual end of the season banquet, and hire and pay our coaches. Without the efforts of all families involved in the Lewis-Clark Neptunes, this program would not be possible.
